[MOD POST] Rule Clarification Post!

Mod here! Obviously, there's only one of me. . .anyway, this post is to go into detail about some of the given rules. If you don't understand one, please read! If you read and didn't find your answer, feel free to leave a comment.

1. No Drama/No Wank -- This is a number one rule anywhere. This place is to have fun, not complain, and not to cause trouble and make things uncomfortable for everyone else. There are going to be multiples of characters so don't cause drama if someone else is playing the same character as you.

Self-explanatory.

2. Try To Stay In-Character -- This isn't an open forum for discussion. Remember if you're playing a character, stay in character. It'll keep confusion to a minimum.

OOC posts belong in the ooc comm, basically. The [Bad username or unknown identity: aphetaliadr"] comm is for RPing only! And occasionally mod posts I'm afraid you won't see here. '~' Which is why you need to be part of the ooc comm, even if it'll be rare that I say anything on it!

3. Hetalia Characters From an AU or Different Time Frame are Fine -- As long as their personalities are similar. Gender-swapped characters are fine, too.

AUs, characters of varying ages, crossover characters(so long as the crossover character you're playing is from Hetalia mainly,) nyotalia, nekotalia, mochitalia, the parallel cat world thing, 2P characters, personality-swapped characters, whatever you can think of. Feel free to play anything you can come up with to your heart's content! And remember that similar does not mean identical.

4. No God-modding -- What is god-modding? Look here.

5. Join with Character Journals Only -- In order to keep confusion to a minimum, only character journals may be used to join and post in the community. Need help juggling all your characters and you use Firefox? Check out ljlogin for a great plugin! Use Google Chrome and need help juggling all of your characters? Check out LJJuggler for another great plugin!

Join the DR comm with ONLY your character(or characters)'s journal(s). You can join the OOC comm with your main if you'd like, I suppose. DO NOT post in the DR comm with anything but your Hetalia RP account(s)!

6. KEEP IT PG-13 -- That means keeping sexytiems and nsfw material on your own personal journals. After all, we could have a lot of little kids on the community!

PG-13 BY AMERICAN STANDARDS. This means:

・References to sex are permitted(if you start going too far past boner-or-other-state-of-intense-arousal, especially if you're graphic with it, take it to your journal or musebox, please! A room or situation that makes your muse horny for the sake of awkwarness, however, is okay. You may also fade to black.)
・Crude language is permitted(don't mind the "up to four instances." Be as bad-mouthed as your muse permits.)
・Implication of drug use is permitted(I may let you get away with actual drug use but I'm not promoting the use of drugs or anything here. Drugs tend to be bad, mmkay?)
・Violence is permitted(but don't get too descriptive or gorey with it! Take all heavy violence to your journal!)
・Non-sexual nudity is permitted(feel free to give each other baths, look down one anothers' pants, or be France! Just don't get too sexual about it)

7. No Deleting. Anything. -- If you make a post or a comment (save for deleting for errors, or typos) it's stuck forever on the community unless the mods feel the content is necessary for deletion.

・YOU MAY delete posts if you made an error of some sort(posted with the wrong account, posted for a holiday too early/late, etc.)
・YOU MAY delete comments to edit them or if you were only posting a joke comment and your real comment would follow.
・YOU MAY NOT delete your posts and comments because you're embarrassed you made them or don't plan to RP anymore or they never got anywhere.

8. No Original Characters -- This is a Hetalia Only Dressing Room. Characters who have received short mentions or have only shown up as chibis or in one panel or strip are acceptable and treated as canon so long as there's enough information to give them an apperance.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU CAN PLAY A CHARACTER HERE:
Has the character been mentioned in canon?
・Yes(go on) ・No(please stop here; you MAY NOT play this character) ・I don't know(please ask me or check this page.)

Does the character have a given gender or something to imply it(New Zealand excluded) such as Prussia saying that the German states were all Germany's brothers or Himaruya saying Czechia is going to be female?
・Yes(continue) ・No(please stop here; you MAY NOT play thic character) ・I don't know(this probably means no, but feel free to ask me and I'll confirm it for you)

Has the character recieved an official apperance(ex: Germany, England, Italy, Bavaria, Saxony, Hesse, India, etc)?
・Yes(why are you even asking, then? Go ahead ♥) ・No(continue) ・Portugal(skip to the absolute end of this rule's explanation)

Is there a sensible, canon-following, fanon image you wouldn't mind/would be using or would you be willing to make one and easily find or make icons(ex: Vatican City was stated to be a bossy, grumpy old man who is considered an annoyance by Italy(or, at least, Romano.) He is not a little girl(unless you're playing him nyotalia and young,) blond, or anything that would otherwise go against what little we have or would be sensible; Czechia has a possibly canon image, herself, etc.)?
・Yes(YOU MAY play this character. It'd be a good idea for you to make a note of the character's official mention somewhere on your profile or something, too.) ・No(Until this or their lack of official appearance is rectified, you MAY NOT play this character.)

・Why can't you just use the flag as an icon? Because that doesn't tell us anything. Hetalia's central thing is personifications of the nations. Without the personification, the character is not permitted.
・Why can you not play an OC? No offense to your OC, but too many OCs are either badly made or just prone to flooding the community or causing confusion and even wank. If an OC-permitting rule were ever to be put into place, it would be required that you fill out a form in regards to personality, history, appearance, etc. However, it's not likely there will be such a rule in the visible future, and for that I apologize.
・IF YOUR CHARACTER HAS RECEIVED A PERSONALITY NOTE OF SOME SORT please follow it. Himaruya said he sees Scotland as being a "friendly and brave character who likes alcohol, cats, haggis, and either likes or has a rich culture." so if you play a Scotland, go off of that, even if it doesn't make sense to you. Canon overrides other things, no matter how little sense it makes(Hetalia isn't supposed to make much sense. We have talking mochi ffs! And don't get me started on the alpacas.)

IN REGARDS TO PORTUGAL. They have a canon design--in fact, they have several. IT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED if the person with the ponytail at the end of the Christmas strips is Portugal, is male, or anything of the sort. HOWEVER until there is a TRULY official Portugal, you may play any or all of the Portugal incarnations.

9. Tag Your Entries -- For organization. If you don't know how, please read this.

IF YOUR CHARACTER DOES NOT HAVE A TAG or you feel a tag should be put into place, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
ALTERNATIVELY post the entry and tack an OOC note at the bottom or top of it saying X has no tag and I'll get to it ASAP.

10. HAVE FUN -- But if you have any problems, take it to the mod. She will do her best to help out and sort out the situation.

I'D BETTER NOT NEED TO TELL YOU GUYS HOW TO HAVE FUN. ;3; But if you're out of ideas or you're not sure if your post is acceptable/within the rules/within PG-13, tell me about it or send it to me and I'll look it over and approve it for you or tell you what's wrong with it!
